MG Gundam 00 7 Sword/G Box Art!

Feast your eyes on this: the MG 007S/G Box Art was finally released, still no exact date from Bandai but we're getting close. Its way cooler than the MG 00 Raiser Box Art for me, that's all I can say. Can't wait to get my hands on this, for those who pre-ordered this from me, stand by for further announcements!

Exia Repair III

Soran Ibrahim certainly made his mark as one of the most popular Mobile Suit pilots of all time. He used countless suits in both the manga and anime, and I've made a promise to myself that I would own each and every MG variation of his suits (sans the Trans-Am) that Bandai produces (Bandai!! Avalanche Dash pleaseee!). His piloting skills are top-notch although I still think that Graham Aker, given an equal suit and without Setsuna's Innovator powers, would best him in combat.

While doing my daily rounds of Gunpla Blogs, I stumbled upon these images, take a look:

Now who says that the Exia is good only for melee combat? This is a custom build let me just remind you. Alas, this might be the only Setsuna suit that we would never ever have...

Gunpla Add-ons

Since I started this crazy hobby, I managed to get my hands on some add-ons, a quick view of what I have so far and some info about it too:
Sinanju Head Base for the HG 1/144 Sinanju, free from the Gundam Ace January 2011 issue
GN Sword IV Full Saber for the HG 1/144 QanT, free from the Hobby Japan February 2011 issue
Full Saber Waterslide Decals, free from the Hobby Japan March 2011 issue which I also have
XN Raiser for the HG Gundam 00 Raiser/7 Sword/G, free from the Hobby Japan July 2010 issue
Beam Gatling Gun for the MG 1/100 Unicorn Gundam, free from the Gundam Ace March 2011 issue
Sinanju Bazooka for the MG 1/100 Sinanju, free from the Gundam UC #8 Limited Edition issue
Custom MG1/100 Wing Zero Custom wings from HobbyMate, not really an add-on but I just thought I would place it here
Finding these stuff is kinda hard nowadays, not to mention expensive. Bootlegs are available yes, but the quality IMO ain't up to par. Other add-ons that are available from what I know (but I don't have huhu) are the following:

Conversion part for the HG 1/144 GM Type-C Wagtail, free from the Dengeki Hobby May 2011 issue
Hrududu parts for the HG 1/144 RX-121-1 Hazel or Advanced Hazel, free from the Dengeki Hobby February 2005 issue
FG Gundam Rasiel and GN Sefer addon for the FG Gundam Rasiel, free from the Dengeki  Hobby January 2009 and February 2009 issues respectively
There might be more add-ons available out there, let me know so I can add 'em here! Happy hunting!

High School of the Dead: 1/8 Saeko Busujima Scale Figure

I don't watch a whole lot of anime, but when I do, its something that I really dig and my taste for figures began 2 weeks ago. I was looking around our local hobby shop and saw a whole lot of female Jap Anime figures. When I went home, the first thing I did was Google 'em and boy oh boy, I told myself, "Now my wallet would bleed harder"...

High School of the Dead began as a Manga back in 2006 then later released as an Anime in 2010. Zombie-movie junkies like me became addicted to it easily. The story wasn't derived from your run-off-the-mill zombie flick, it depicts emotional and psychological challenges the students had to face due to the Zombie infestation. I would strongly recommend that you watch it online or download it, its an awesome anime.

As for the figure, I saw this while relentlessly researching the net. Some of the figure terminologies I've learned from the past weeks are:

NSFW - not safe for work, these are figures which shows the private parts of the human anatomy
MISB - mint in sealed box, in the world of figure collecting, a person who wants to sell his figure roughly around the same price he purchased it must make sure the box was not opened
MIB - mint in box, box opened but never displayed in a cabinet

You may mistake Saeko for Psylocke from Marvel because of the violet hair and oriental features. As a Captain of the Kendo Club, her skills with the Bokken (wooden sword for Kendo) and later on, a Katana is exceptional.

This figure is classified as NSFW because of the cast-off feature. A feature in the figure industry where you can remove the figure's clothes. I would suggest you view the photos in private.

No thanks to my new addiction, i'm thinking hard if I need a mid-range SLR Camera to bring out the best in my figure collection. Sigh haha!

Eagle has landed...

Some of the boxes I would be handing out tomorrow hehe

At long last, my Delta Plus stocks arrived... It should've been here about a week ago but no thanks to delays, and numerous storms hammering the Philippines, I laid my hands on 'em just now.

What can I say? The box front is just the same as your MG Red Frame Kai box, but its quite thinner compared to the standard MG Box. I've read a bunch of bad reviews about this kit but hey, you gotta admit, the Detla Plus is the coolest transformable Mobile Suit as of the moment from the Master Grade line. Unfortunately, I can't keep one for myself because if I do, one of my customers would have to wait for the 2nd batch of D+ boxes, well I better set my mind that my very own D+ would be here in a few weeks time.

Quite excited to meet the gang again in our rendezvous point. We have grown to love the Starbucks branch in Megamall, we meet and have fun there. Technically, this is my 10th batch. Still alive and kickin' I guess. I pray that the rain won't come and pour down like there's no tomorrow later. Better get some sleep now, its 4:00am hehe.

Real Grade Freedom

The Freedom Gundam would prolly be one of the mas popular Gundams of all time. Beam-spammer lovers worship him, since he has a cannon fit for every occasion. The wings rival Wing Zero Custom's too. Both the Freedom and Strike Freedom tout wings that would make WZC run for his money. The only thing I don't like with the Freedom is the pilot. Oh yes, I've read far too many Kira hate posts out there. I don't like him, but I don't necessarily hate him too. You have to admit, Kira packs some serious skill piloting the Freedom and Strike Freedom.

The Real Grade line was designed to be far more detailed compared to an MG kit. It boasts panel lines that cannot be found on its MG counterpart. It also has the internal frame feature. What Bandai would like to emphasize is: they could pack much detail and articulation in to a 1/144 size.

I don't have one to be honest, my co-worker complained of fragility (to the frame) and loose skirt parts for the RG RX-78. But I would like to give this guy a try, I like the Freedom after all. I even dig the Soundtrack that played when Lacus Clyne gave the Freedom to Kira. This should be a great birthday gift for myself hehe.

Here's a photo and a Youtube Video (well just music actually) for you to check out:

Gundam Wing EW: Gundam Armaments

GunJap posted this in his blog and caught my attention.

Gundam Wing was the 1st series from the Gundam Universe that I watched as a kid. I was captivated by the mech designs and I have fond memories of me and my cousin sitting right in front of our Television, Monday-Friday, GMA 7, 4 or 5pm. Wing introduced me to a whole new definition of mechas. I believe that it would be the same for most Pinoys, even the American audience say that it was Wing where they had their first glimpse of a Gundam.

What I have below would be "add-ons" for the Sandrock, HeavyArms and Shenlong, I wonder what the add-on would be for the Wing and DeathScythe? Stay tuned...

Gundam Unicorn Episode 4 - At the bottom of the Gravity Well

MG Gundam Full Armor Unicorn first, now, information regarding the 4th installment of the Gundam Unicorn episode is up and spreading like wildfire on the internet.

Scheduled for December 2, 2011, i'm looking forward to a Merry Gunpla Christmas this year!

Check out GunJap's blog for more scans and info!

HG 1/144 Gundam Age!

I still remember the time when Gundam 00 was about to be released (anime and Gunpla): the series received major criticism. Some of the comments that was memorable for me was it sucked because the suits do not have backpacks like in Seed/Seed Destiny, there were only 4 lead suits, the pilots looked metrosexuals and much more. But hey, look what happened? Gundam 00 rocked, even the kits that they made for the series (IMO Setsuna's suits was milked by Bandai).

Now that Gundam Age is coming out, history repeats itself, criticism poured like there was no tomorrow. Got these images from Gunjap, check them out:

HG Box Art
I would be honest, the series seems to be influenced by Digimon for the human characters. As for the Age unit itself, it does look a bit bland. Far too simpler compared to the Exia.

I'm guessing that this suit would be the type who gets upgrades/parts as the story unfolds (namely the Sparrow and Titus). Might turn out to be one beefed up bad-ass someday.

I ain't too "excited" about Age but hey, I would still give it a chance, I won't close my doors yet. :)

MG Full Armor Unicorn in the works?

I can't believe my eyes when I saw this image. Finally, my prayers have been answered: a fully poseable, full armor gundam unicorn with its weapons of mass destruction is lurking around the corner!

Being a die-hard Unicorn fan, this would be a must-have. But for people who already has the Ver. Ka, OVA or Cage versions, would it be worth it?

I'm assuming that this would be a totally separate kit, and of course, that awesome transparent green Psycho Frame would be there (LED mods? anyone?). It might have the Missile Pods and stuff too but as one of my friends pointed out: will it come with the dreaded and ultra-expensive Gatling Guns that i've chased for quite some time?

If Bandai does release this kit with Gats included, then it would totally ruin the value and collectability of the Gats. I'm praying that won't be the case because I don't want to see the day where everybody with a Unicorn would flaunt those kick-ass Gats, hehe. Selfish? yeah prolly, but that's one of the things that makes collecting fun: getting rare stuff.

Price is also something that's important. Could be as expensive or lower than the 00Raiser (which I sell for PHP 3,250) considering that there would be loads of parts for this guy. Anything higher than that is absurd (i'm still gonna grab one for myself anyway).

Let's see what Bandai is cooking, perhaps a PG Unicorn someday? The waiting game begins...

Gundam Universal Century Girls

Saw this while checking out Gundam Guy's Blog and caught my eye instantly. Just proves how creative Japanese artists are don't you agree? Now I wonder if there are more of these scattered throughout the net like Freedom Girl or perhaps a Red Frame girl, hmm...

1/48 RX-78-2 Gundam ANA

Got this guy prolly about 1-2 weeks ago. No thanks to my work (which renders me unable to do much with this crazy hobby), I was not able to post photos for this big guy earlier, much less, post stuff here in my humble abode.

Saw him from our local hobby shop. Since I have the HG RX-0 ANA, I thought it would be good for me to get this guy and just sell my standard, brand-new 1/48 RX-78-2 Megasize.

Can't wait to work on this bad boy, here are some photos:

The world famous ANA decals/stickers, IMHO, this is what makes the kit stand out. The color scheme is so great for my taste hehe
Just to give you guys a rough idea on how humongous this bad boy is. The gun is almost as big as my DVD case but check out the shield, its way bigger than the case, I can only imagine how proud he would stand among my other kits someday
